Welcome POLA 2020!

Dear Cadet:

Thank you for your interest in Advanced Training Command New England.

Please navigate this site to find important information about the training.  To apply for a quota please register via Magellan and look for course Leadership, Petty Officer Academy, (POLA) (NP-MA-2001V) .  The only paperwork required is a TRNG001 and Digital Wellness form (search Homeport "Forms").  All other prerequisites to apply for POLA will apply.  Do not submit incomplete packages and do not fail to get all required signatures on your paperwork. And while I welcome your questions on how to do something properly, please read the site and search hard for the answer to your question before you ask.

Cadets, as a young adult and an aspiring leader, it is your responsibility to take charge of your own USNSCC career. If you rely on your parents to do everything for you (e.g., iron your clothes, wake you up for school, send your emails for you), you will neither succeed at this training nor will you be a successful leader in your home unit or elsewhere. So, I charge you to demonstrate maturity, independence, and self-reliance during this application process and ensuring that it is done properly.

Parents, I am absolutely welcoming of your questions during this process. Please feel free to email me. My experienced staff and I welcome the opportunity to work with and mentor your children during this training. And please know that your child's safety, health, and well-being are our very top priority and override all other goals of this training.

Good luck. I look forward to seeing you on zoom this winter.
